Catching Up On The News

Yep. Our prez says he wants the Iraqis to take control of their own destiny. After he made sure the one guy who knew how to control the country was deleted from his rightful position. But does he really really really want the Iraqis to take control over their destiny? You decide. The democratically elected Iraqi Vice President speaks. Gotta say, the guy has guts. The original leaders of the country who were running for office and publicly declared they wanted the US out of Iraq died in car bombs inside the green zone. Doesn't take a political genius to figure out who was behind the car bombs. The "terrorists", and "insurgents" have no problem blowing themselves up for their fight for freedom; but the US "intelligence" types want to live another day to get even more jollies. The whole world knows who we are and what we are, and we live to say Merry Christmas and Peace On Earth with no sense of irony.

The recent news that Saudi Arabia is still supporting the cells that attacked the United States has not raised much concern here in the US. The average US citizen does not even know the terrorists that attacked the Trade Center and the Pentagon were citizens of Saudi Arabia. Many of those that do know that fact simply think that Saudi Arabia is a suburb of Baghdad. No child left behind. Right. The rule is "Do not teach geography to a school child, and beware of any adults who dare to look at a world map."
