Hmmm

Hamid Karzai has become increasingly vociferous in his criticism of American military tactics and has been making half-hearted threats to shift his allegiance to Moscow if he does not get his way.

Am I wrong in saying "Why Not?" They don't want us, we certainly don't intend to do anything serious there in regards to stopping heroin & Bin Laden's troops, so why not? There's no way America can bring peace to the region. We helped them defeat the Russians with the help of Bin Laden a few years back. If the guy we propped up as a puppet would rather ally with the Russians, why the heck not? What have we got to lose? So our heroin becomes more costly. So what?
